Where do Koh Larn boats leave?
Public ferries and many tours use Bali Hai Pier. Check the booking because speedboats may use another beach pickup.
How far is Pattaya from Bangkok?
Pattaya is about 150 km southeast of Bangkok; allow roughly two hours by road in normal traffic and longer at busy times.
Which beach is best for swimming?
Central Pattaya Beach is convenient but not the clearest. Jomtien is calmer for a city beach, while Koh Larn has the clearer water and whiter sand.
Are Nong Nooch and Khao Kheow in Pattaya?
No. Nong Nooch is about 18 km south of central Pattaya. Khao Kheow Open Zoo is near Si Racha, around an hour by road.
Does Pattaya have mountains?
It has low viewpoints and nearby Buddha Mountain, not a high-mountain landscape. Jungle trekking and major mountain scenery require travel elsewhere.
What does Pattaya not have?
It has no single central marina for every tour, no pristine water along the whole urban beach and no ancient old town comparable with Ayutthaya.
